WIC: Supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, children. Benefits pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum women, infants and children under age 5. In Greensboro, call for an appointment at 336.641.3214. Appointments are available 2 weeks after call. Currently appointments are by phone. You can request a telehealth interpreter. You don't need to wait for SNAP to apply. Must get re-certified when baby turns 1. At this point, the free food volume decreases to support baby only. If mother gets pregnant again, call and recertify to increase amounts.

SNAP-FNS (EBT/food stamps): Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program provides benefits to purchase food. In Greensboro call, 336.641.3000. Case Managers apply for SNAP early on but it may take time for processing. Family must reapply every six months. EBT card covers food items only. Available funds carry over to next month if not used.

Greensboro Urban Ministries: Emergency Groceries are available Tuesday-Friday from 9:30am until 3:30pm. Guilford County residents do not have to have an appointment and can come once a week with a photo ID and copy of SS card.

NCA&T Fresh and Local Nutrition Incentive Program: This is a SNAP Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) box program that allows you to double your bucks by using your benefits to purchase fresh, local fruits and vegetables.

CSA Box Options:
• $10 for a box valued at $20
• $15 for a box valued at $30
