Christelle is a North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Alum. She has a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She is independent strong woman, who loves people. Although she was a juvenile diabetic since she was age 15, she did not let this have a negative effect on her life.
As a non-profit organization, North Carolina African Services Coalition helps refugee clients become self- sufficient. We work to serve our clients by helping them learn to budget, handle their resource effectively, obtain and maintain jobs, go to school and overall assimilate into American society successfully. We have a proven success record with this.
As Reception and Placement (R&P) Case Manager and Housing coordinator, Cristelle is responsible assisting newly arriving refugees in their transition to their new home, America. She is responsible in securing appropriate housing for new arrivals. Our clients have been persecuted and their lives have been threatened. They come to America for safety.
Cristelle’s connections in the community, allows her to successfully obtain housing for refugees before their arrival. She provides services such as school enrollments for children and parents, benefit applications, referrals to various employment programs and health assessments.
